The temples near the river are very interesting, just like the many Saddhu's walking around. When given a small amount of money they are very willing to let their picture taken. It is here at the sacred river Bagmati that the water funerals are carried out. When watching it, it gives you a strange, indescribable feeling!

Hard to rate this experience. The temples are beautiful and it was so fascinating to watch the funeral rituals at the ghats, but also hard to watch the families' grief as we were there as tourists.

Un endroit vraiment impressionnant. Surtout le jour de la fête de Shivà, avec tous les saddhùs en procession.
