It was surreal seeing her house up close. You read her diary, and you try to visualize how they lived, but to actually see it in person. You tour the house at your own pace, and they have things to read and audio stuff set up to explain the sections of the house a little more. Unfortunately, I found myself distracted often by the other tourists.

Walking around the house, especially the attic, was like going back in time and walking straight into her life. It was soul-stirring. Even the ones I'm with who didn't know her or read her diary did not walk out of the Anne Frank House unmoved.
