Aug 28, 2011 It is very powerful to be able to visit the place where she wrote her famous diary and see all that she describes. In many of the rooms there are quotes from her diary on the walls and they also contain photos and other memorabilia from her life. There is a very reflective quite atmosphere there as people reflect on her life and World War II. Book ahead to be able to get in quickly or about 15 minutes before the hour in the evenings. Aug 30, 2011 Anne Frank House is a MUST GO place in Amsterdam. besides the long lines the visit will help you to remind the atrocity of the war. It is a simple place but with a lot of soul and breaking hard hurts. It is pitty how the men can forget all the stupidity that he is able to do. She was not the only one, but she is a alive symbol of the fight for life. Jul 2, 2010 It was surreal seeing her house up close. You read her diary, and you try to visualize how they lived, but to actually see it in person. You tour the house at your own pace, and they have things to read and audio stuff set up to explain the sections of the house a little more. Unfortunately, I found myself distracted often by the other tourists.
