Oct 22, 2008 The most famous museum in The Netherlands, the Rijk’s is under serious renovation at the moment and only one wing is open – you can still see the highlights of the Dutch Masters Collcetion (especially Rembrandt’s The Nightwatch and Van Gogh’s Starry Night ). Once renovations are finished this would be the best museum in Amsterdam Jan 30, 2012 I liked it here. I'm a bit of a history geek, and the first time I went there it was on a field trip, and we had just learned about the Golden Age in school. I thought it was pretty interesting. I went there again a few weeks ago, but it was pretty much the same collection. They did have a few new things, but the usual collection is interesting enough to go and see a second time. They have a vast collection of Dutch art made in the Golden Age by Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Verspronck, Frans Hals and Jan Steen. I'd definitely reccomend going to the Rijksmuseum. May 21, 2010 If you love old master paintings especially the dutch art of the golden age you have to visit this museum. You will find a rich collection of all dutch painters like Rembrand, Vermeer and Co. The famous Nightwatch is impressing people are in original seize. As someone who likes arts you need to see it! Aug 25, 2008 Absolutely beautiful, so glad we took the time to go. We showed up 30 minutes before closing and rushed through to get a good look at everything. Even with the rushed visit the paintings took my breath away. I will definitely go again next time I visit Amsterdam.
