i didnt actually get in the museum but whats out of it its my favorite spot in the city.right across the museum.the view is wonderfull.if you need some time of rest i high recomend it.

This is must-see attraction, absolutely, but be prepared to wait. We visited in the dead of winter and hadn't dressed prepped to wait outside for 20+ minutes! I don't (and didn't) consider myself a museum fan but couldn't believe how great of a time I had here. The artwork is striking and the background information written adjacent each piece is fascinating. I think I read every piece of text in the entire museum. Really, a terrific museum and something I recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Not many of his oil paintings but thousands of sketches, some of which are rather smutty! The talent and playful character of the man shines through the exhibits.
