Wonderful place for drinks in the sun! Around Christmas and new years there's a lovely Christmas market with a Ferris wheel, ice-skating and yummy Dutch (sweet) snacks, such as the traditional newyears dish 'oliebollen' and poffertjes (mini pancakes).
Also a wonderful place to celebrate carnival in February/march.

zeker na de renovaties van de afgelopen jaren een bezoekje waard. Als je tijdens de kerstperiode gaan kan je ook een bezoekje brengen aan winterland en onder het genot van een glühwein of warme chocomelk genieten van de maastrichtse kerstgekte...

Vrijthof is the place to be in Maastricht. If you like a decent and good value/price on food go to the Peroen or go to D'n Ingel

Yes it is pretty but don't buy your drink here! Go to the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Plein! It is cheaper and more atmospheric.
