A good place to strat your trip to The Netherlands; check out the miniature houses and sights and use the guide book from Madurodam to pick the sights you want to see for real. Beware of the restaurant though, if you are not used to Dutch amusementpark food culture you might be in for a shock.

Madurodam gives you an opportunity to see all highlights of the Netherlands in a very short while, since all important and exciting buildings have been recreated on a 1:25 scale. That way you can view the Martinitoren, the Ridderzaal and the Delta Works within the time span of minutes!

Very beautiful place to visit.
Miniature city with anything a real city has. (Even Schiphol airport), in scale.
Walk around the buildings, make photos under bridges and compare yourself to very tall constructions...

Nice if you come with kids. Lots of well known dutch buildings in miniature, including Schiphol Airport and Rotterdam harbour so probably not as much fun if you don't know the particular buildings.
