Truly one of the most gorgeous places on this earth that is taken for granted. Careful of the waves though, a lot of foreigners have died because of the notorious undersea currents. It is fair to say that Piha is the jewell in the crown out of all the sights that the Waitakere ranges has on offer.

It has the most beautiful scenery in Auckland however it does get really windy out there. If you're surfing, it will get really rough so be careful that you don't get caught in the current. Lion Rock is the highlight of the beach so save that until last. Climbing up was strenuous and tiring.
