Very nice garden area, full of NZ's native birds and fish. Even better is the souvenir shop at the end. One of the better selections for really nice, inexpensive souvenirs. I bought loads of jewellery for my friends here.

Don't expect big excitement, but very pleasant.  the trout are pretty impressive and you can see baby kiwi here, which is pretty cool. But, very mellow.
