The Tongariro National Trout Centre is situated 4 kilometres south of the township of Turangi, on State Highway 1, at the southern end of Lake Taupo on the banks of the Tongariro River.

Very interesting to see how trout are raised. They show the different phases of the fish. You can find a tiny museum about trout fishing and you can feed the fish.
