I walk pass there everyday as a local. It's great if you have energy and money to burn but otherwise it can be a little drag during the night time.
Varieties of bars and nightclubs catered for different tastes. Not many live music venues though.

Lots of bars and restaurants. It is a happening place on Friday and Saturday nights. A highlight is the Embassy Theatre where they had the world premiere of Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and it is a working art deco cinema.

Amazing place to hang out sipping on Sav during the day and the nightlife and music scene is great at night. You see a few freaks - well I thought so being a country girl and all that, haha.

Favourite places on Courtenay Place - Embassy Theatre, Library Bar, Caffe Eis, Bangalore Polo Club and of course people watching.

not something wow................. i would not recommend it .......red light district and drunkenness
