So did you ever wanted to see or maybe even touch carefully the national symbol of New Zealand - the Kiwi? Guys, I am talking about the bird! ;)
Then this very fondly lead organization is the way to go. If you are lucky, as I was, you gonna meet Robert the owner who will introduce you to all kinds of birds. And if you even luckier you gonna meet Woof Woof the talking Tui and Sparky or Snoopy the two disabled Kiwi who live there. The kiwi's were found injured in a trap and are not able to live in the wild anymore so therefore there important to raise awareness of this shy night active bird and are sometimes used to show to pupils or tourists. When you go maybe buy something in the shop or leave a donation since the organization is non-profit and depends on donations. Very worth it!
