This was a higlight of our trip to Christchurch. Definitely pay the extra to take the 'Hagglund' ride - it's one of the vehicles they use in Antarctica, and you'll go up and down hills, and through water, etc - great fun for young and old!!! Be sure to be there for feeding time with the penguins - its fun, and funny, and interesting! They also simulate an Antarctic snowstorm a couple of times an hour. They provide you with a jacket and booties, but you'll still feel the cold! We spent an entire morning here - my kids loved it, and it was fun for me, too!

A good experiene to see how life in Antartica is, they also have a room were you put on a big coat and boots and they actually create an antartic storm. They also show animals which live there as well as penguns

Only found this place by chance, had some time to kill before going to the airport but spent a happy couple of hours here. I loved the penguins and the antarctic storm the best.

Really really good and the huggerland rides are sweet. Its an intresting place
