Such a great experience beeing so near to the edge of the glacier, looking beneath it and even smelling the ice :)
You should hike to that Plaform, it is nearly 2km from the end of the official view point, but the track is marked.

Awesome - seeing the old ladder which they used to access the glacier from (now a long way away from the terminal) is thought provoking. It has retreated so far!
