The Hokitika Gorge is one of those places that your heart drops when you first see its Beauty. The Amazingly Aqua Blue of the Water , surrounded by rugged rock cliffs is a sight truley beautiful. Accessed by a swing bridge you get great photo oportunities. The path that lead you to the water is for confident walkers as it is across rocks. Once There many a travellers have been brave enough to jump into the alpine fed waters. A sight not to be missed it includes a nice drive through the Diary Farmland. The main industry of the Hokitika township. In spring you can catch a glimpse of the young claves.
