Queens Park is easily one of the best public gardens I have ever been in. It's HUGE for such a small town like Invercargill. There is something for everyone, including rose gardens, a giant castle playground, duck ponds, tree lined avenues, a glass incased Winter Garden, a really cool aviary, and a pretty good little museum with an interesting Maori exhibit. There are a couple of little cafes where you can sit and have a cup of tea and watch people in the park. I simply loved it!

This park is my favourite park in the entire world. Granted, i have not seen the entire world, but its gorgeous! It has everything, a mini waterpark, tiny zoo and the most important...a cafe! for food and coffee! wooo. But i guess the most important part of this place is that its just so wholly New Zealand. Impossibly green....
