The fox Glacier was amazing!! We could only manage to make it to the bottom of the glacier as the rest of the climb was to dangerous and reserved for experienced climbers and hikers! How ever we got a helicopter to drop us at the top of the mountain where we had the most amazing views of the mountains and land around and the glacier!!

Great scenery at Fox Glacier. We did a 1/2 day hike where you ascend the mountain slopes and cut across the glacier part way up. Walking on the glacier was fantastic. You can't really appreciate how big it is until you're in the middle of it!

The other great glacier after the Franz Josef glacier in New Zealand. It is nice to see but I had done already the Franz Josef glacier hike and so I thought one is enough. But took great pictures of the fox one.
