Located in the remote wilderness region of Te Wāhipounamu in the South west portion of South Island, Fiordland National park is home to snow-capped mountains, frozen rivers, deep lakes, grasslands and among many things.  It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Numerous walks and tracks, including the world famous Milford Track (considered to be amongst the finest walks in the world) can be found here.  Other activities, including mountaineering, scenic flights, fishing and hunting are also possible at the park.

Accessed by road from Milford Road (Sh 94) from Te Anau.

Also possible to be accessed by light aircraft and helicopter services.

Worth the World Heritage Status! The the Milford sound cruises and hike around.
