Playa Maderas is located about 20 minutes north of San Juan del Sur. It is the most popular surf beach with easy access to town. There is a spot to stay and get a good fried fish or a cold beer.

Beautiful quiet beach, great for surfing or just chilling on the beach. You can stay on the beach, in a hostel or camping. but the most people who are going to maderas, stay in san juan del sur and take a shuttle bus and stay here for one day. It's really quiet nothing to do(well surfing, relaxing, walking and stuff but no night life!)A really nice place to relax and get new energy for the rest of your trip!
