I live here so i can talk short about it's history. From start to now...
"Sorry for my bad English"
When the town was settled it was a very important city of economics because it was in a good geographic place to do a trade. Later "1850" It was an industrial city with a lot of fabrics, some small pices are left of it spread around the town. And now 2011 it have been shaped up with the promenade to the river witch is going trough the city. So now a lot of peoples are settling there because it's a attractive city now.
So i recommend you to visit Drammen some time :)
