I tasted whale here and I liked it! The shrimp was spectacular. Definitely a fun thing to do in Bergen. Bergen is a small high density city so it is easy to get around. From the fish market you can walk to a funicular and head up to the fill for amazing views of the city.

We thought the Bergen fish market was really cool! We had some great fried fish there! Many stands, great looking and tasting fish, whale meat, elk meat. Kinda touristy maybe, but still an original and traditional event. Worth seeing!

The fish market gives you a good insight into everyday life in Bergen. If you're hanging around, get some fresh fish, but if you're just there for a short time, stop by anyways!

Even if you don't like fish or it's smell you should visit the market if you are in Bergen. They sell all sorts of fish and sea food. You can also taste a whale!
