Oct 31, 2008 From the top of this mountain, you can see all of town and its surrounding mountains. Ulriken is Bergen's highest mountain, and also gives you a good view of what lies beneath it, the nature that stretches far into Norway, and on the other side, the isles of Askøy and Sotra, and the Atlantic sea outside of them. The cable car takes you straight to the mountain top, where you can find a cafeteria and a souvenir shop. I can especially recommend the sour cream porridge, which is one of the dishes that is served there. Ulriken is a place worth visiting for everyone. Dec 13, 2009 One of the four mountains surrounding the city. Being the highest of all, provides the most beatiful views over the city and the islands around. The best time to be there is upon sunset in a midsumer day. The clouds (which are there nearly all the time) contribute to some of the most beautiful sunsets on the planet. And if the summer isn't too rainy, you can watch this every night :)
