another way to get a few steps away from the fjords : by train. once arrived in the village of flam you can rent a bike at the tourism office, take again the train, climb up to about 1000m and then ride your bike down to the sea level. beautiful, wilde landscape. the ride takes about 1h30.

An incredible train journey from the mountain station at Myrdal down to Flåm station nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord.
