For German speaking travelers, there is this great hostel on the main road run by Heike (Heike's hostel). She is German, her husband is from Panama. The spot is nicely located on the main road meaning that everything is next door (shopping, eating, diving...etc.). The hostel is very clean with shared showers and nice common room on the outside terrace. We had such a good time that we stayed for 10 days to relax from the 3 months travelling before.

Bocas del Toro is amazing! Long white beaches with palm trees and warm green water. The night life is great! Ladies Night is every night, La Iguana and Bar elcondito were my favorite bars. Make sure you have lots of single dollar bills- there are guys who boat around in little motor boats and if you pay them a doller or two they will take you to lots of different beaches.

Great place to relax! Town is very laid back. Several good white sand beaches nearby on Bastamientos island (Red Frog beach). You can hire a water taxi for a few $$ to take you to the islands.

Great place to hang out after a tour through Panama, here you relax, eat, entertain the locals, party, go swimming ... etc ... just a little paradise ... at least it was ten years ago ...
