A beautiful location where the more than 20,000 French workers that died (most by disease) attempting to build the Panama Canal are memorialized in stone and statues. A great place to start and evening and continue on to the galleries and restaurants within the same plaza. Good journeys!

It is a peaceful plaza and also nice .Was built to comemorate the construction of the canal while the obelisc in the middle honers the designers of the canal.
