A really great place to just sit and people watch. It's ridiculously full of pidgeons and people selling things like pidgeon feed, bubbles, jellos, etc. Don't sit on the barriers around the fountains, the guards will get mad. Make sure you visit the nearby monastario...it's expensive to get in, but it's worth it!

Picture perfect! A lovely place to spend and afternoon. My son and I enjoyed our picnic lunch there and soaked in the beauty.

Beautiful place and a very clean (unlike other cities in Peru) and tourist friendly city! Nice budget hotels close to the Plaza.

One of the prettiest Plaza Mayor in Peru (at least in the cities I've visited).
