An inspiring place to visit. You can get out through the national park where there´s wild llamas, alpacas etc, the views are incredible and from the highest point on the 2-day trip (4900mas) you get views over a massive portion of the Andes rande. We also visited some great hot springs, and saw giant Andean Condors rising out of the Canyon early in the morning. Prices in Arequipa for the 2-day trip range from S/.60 (about $20) to S/.135 (about $45) depending almost entirely on the quality of the hostel/hotel you end up in in Chivay. We went on the cheapest tour and were well happy with it, so it depends on how much you want the comforts whether it´s worth paying the extra.
