You have never been to the "distinguished and ever loyal City " of Manila if you had not gone to the famous Rizal Park where the national hero Jose Rizal was enshrined. The park offers respite for busy city life during weekends for families, friends and anyone as it offers picnic grounds, entertainment,gardens, aviary, etc. the view of the famous sunset in Manila Bay justa few meters from the park. Rizal Park is the site of the national hero's martyrdom where he was shot in Dec. 30, 1898. In the current years, THe Rizal Monumnent in the Rizal Park is the KILOMETER 0 where measurement of distance to any part of the Philippines starts.

Interesting to see but not worth a lot of time. Close to other, more interesting attractions like Intramuros and the Manila Bay waterfront.

this is the classic park. filipinos from the country make it a point to come and visit Manila whenever they come to Manila
