Mar 27, 2009 Built in 1690, this is a shrine to the second oldest church in the Philippines dedicated to Our Lady of the Abandoned (Nstra. Sra. delos Desamparados). The church has underwent many renovations these past few years and the grandeur of its old glory is quite apparent. The church also houses the caonically-crowned image of Our Lady of the Abandoned and is considered to be one of the most beautifully carved images in he Philippines. Mar 28, 2009 Built in 1690, this church houses the beautiful image of Our Lady of the Abandoned (Nstra. Sra. delos Desamparados) which was canonically crowned in 2005 by Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales in the name of Pope Benedict XVI. The church is the second oldest parish in the Philippines dedicated to Our Lady of the Abandoned. The church has undergone major renovations and improvements to restore it to its former grandeur.
