Museum Podkarpackie in Krosno, created in 1954 as the Regional Museum PTTK, in 1958 it became a state institution under the name of the Museum in Krosno, and since 1975 - the Museum District. In 2000, adopted its present name. The facility is located in a historic building is the former bishop's palace.
