Nov 18, 2008 Sopot is a large health-spa and tourist resort destination, well known for the longest wooden pier in Europe , the Molo (at 515.5 meters), from which one can see the Gulf of Gdańsk . The city is also famous for its Sopot International Song Festival , the largest such event in Europe after the Eurovision Song Contest . Jul 1, 2008 The wooden pier is the longest of this type in Europe (512 m long and 10 m wide). A walk over it is an unforgettable experience. The pier is the favorite place for walks. At the end of the pier, there is a viewpoint from which one may watch the panorama of Sopot and its surroundings, including picturesque landscape spreading out from Redlowski Cape, from the North, to New Port and Westerplatte, from the Southern east. www.trojmiasto.pl Nov 18, 2011 ablsolutely amazing place especially for a romantic walk in the middle of the night. They've recently built a marine so u can reach Sopot by jacht. The best time is off season on a storm day or on New Year's Eve when you can see all the fireworks from Tricity. Sep 30, 2009 No matter what the weather is... I love it. Actually, I love it most when it's dark and stormy... That's when all the fun begins. The fun of watching great power in making. ;-)
