It is an 118 m (387 ft) high (including the 8 m (26 ft) long spire on its top) construction of impregnated larch wood framework and bronze connectors. The tower was nicknamed "the Silesian Eiffel Tower" by the local population, although the similarities are minor.

An attack on a radio station in Gleiwitz on August 31, 1939, staged by the German secret police, served as a pretext for Nazi Germany to invade Poland... In other words, that's where WW2 started.

Not much to see but I would still call it a must.
