Getting there:
There are a few buses from Evora leaving you at the foot of the hill. But Evoramonte is best reached by car. It is on the N18 from Evora to Estremoz.

Jul 16, 2009 When you first see it it is a bit dissapointing because it looks like it is made out of concrete. But when you see it is not and it changes into a toy castle. The castle has three floors, the first holds a kind of exhibition on the history of military architecture in Portugal and a history of the castle. The other two are bare except for four very nice colums in each one of them. The main attraction is the terrace from which you have a brilliant view over the village and the area. You can see as far as Evora and even Estremoz. Related Links
