To me, Ribeira is one of the most magical places in the world. I defy anybody to find anywhere else, like it, in the world. once you go behind the cafes and the restaurants, you stepback in time and you can actually see and feel its antiquity. to me, it is one of the greatest examples of a medieval area that has survived intact.

O ambiente da Ribeira é a alma do Porto! As ruas apertadinhas, as casas coloridas, a presença do rio... Existem inúmeros cafés e restaurantes onde se pode desfrutar do melhor da gastronomia portuense. É preciso é ter cuidado com carteiristas, especialmente à noite.

Ribeira is a great place to enjoy a meal with a great view of the Douro's river. The best time to visit is at New Year's Eve.

simply breathtaking! A must see for everybody visiting Porto, a very nice place to have a dinner or lunch.
