People come here for the brilliant view and the monumental church. I didn't particulary liked the church but the view is really worth the trip. You can get up there with funicular which has recently been restored, by car or by foot. If you want to climb the stairs, remember that is 2 km of often very steep stairs, it's worth it though.

Most beautiful city in Portugal.
Fantastic scenery!
Mountains, rivers and valleys all in the same city!
Three or four good hotels, four or more stars.
Good places to go out at night, and very nice people.
I recommend to anyone who wants a mix of quiet beach, history and nightlife.

Está en lo alto del pueblo, hace muchísimo viento, con unas vistas impresionantes, eso sí no es aconsejable ni para los que tenga vértigo ni para los que sean claustrofóbicos porque para subir hay que ir por unas escaleras un tanto estrechas :)
