Aveiro used to be a salt producer, made in the salt marches, pilled in salt mountains along the marshes and then transported by traditional boats to the traditional salt warehouses, that are converted today in bars and restaurants. This place is the last salt marsh turned into an ethnographic museum. worth seeing. you can go there walking or on a rented BUGA (the local free bike).
