A great daytrip from San Juan. El Yunque is (technically) the only rainforest in North America (although this is simply because Puerto Rico is a part of the USA!). Trips can last from half day to full day, and should include a walk through the rainforest, traditional lunch of Puerto Rican food, and a tour of some of the history of the area. From here, you can look across the water and see St. John's Island!

Lots of walking but well worth it. They say the Fountain of Youth is here..
