A very nice collection of Russian fine art, ranging in date from the 11th to the early 20th century (more than 150 000 works of painting, sculpture and graphics). The gallery is located on a picturesque pedestrian lane (Lavrushinsky ln) not very far from Kremlin, so you can have a nice walk before and after the visit.

Beautiful Russian Art! I was impressed by the various magnificent art collections, like the war memorial propaganda posters that paralleled the American versions, and the fabulous Russian icons, the intricate treasures and fantastic paintings.

The Gallery has a good collection of Russian icons. And there are some "jewels" like "Trinity" by Andrey Rublev. Icon of Vladimirskaya Godmother is not in the museum but in the church near the museum.
