The Baikal Museum is situated on the shore of Baikal Lake, near the source of the Angara River. The Museum attracts attention of all people coming to Siberia and on lake Baikal. It is included into the 1st of all-russion tourist routs. Created by big collective of scientists who studied lake Baikal, it shows all complicated and balanced ecological sistem of the world biggest reservoir of fresh water. Uniquiness of the collections, long-term observations of the nature of the lake, high culture of demonstration, make it very interesting and the most visited museum in the region.

Check out neat endemic Baikal species here... there are some strange ones! And yes, they have a tank of freshwater seals.
