This is the main street in downtown Ulan Ude. Several blocks of the street are blocked off to cars, so it is a shopping area limited to pedestrians. There are several nice fountains and flower beds also. The shops along this area are... well, nothing especially differnt than any other shopping areas in the city, but its a very nice area for a stroll and for people watching.

Totaly renovated some years ago with modern shops, pavement and fountains. is called after Arbat street in Moscow. don't wander alone at night, sometimes a lot of drunk.
