About Hram Svetog Save - The Cathedral of Saint Sava (Sveti Sava)
The construction of this cathedral began in 1935. Due to the complicated history of Serbia, first the Second World War, then the Tito times, the construction was held and right now the cathedral is still in the process of building. The building is 91 m high (298.5 ft) making it one of the largest Orthodox Church temples.

Oct 23, 2009 It is amazing that this cathedral is still being built. Therefore, I think it is one of the most precious places you can see in the world - it's difficult history is very interesting, but the most interesting is that visiting once a few years even, will make you see how complex it is to build such a thing. You can see icons being painted from a scratch and sculptures and altars being built from zero. It is charming, even though practically it is a modern building. Definitely, a must-see to every person travelling to Beograd!
