Anse Major is a large, secluded, sandy beach with a small lagoon just behinds it. It is safe to swim, and the snorkeling is very nice here. It is possible to go on glass-bottomed boat excursions from Beau Vallon Bay that stop by this beach.

This beach is nicely secluded, and can only be reached by boat or by hiking on a nature trail from Danzil (on Mahé's most north-western tip). The hike round-trip takes about 3 hours.
