River #2 is a beautiful little seaside spot on the coast of Sierra Leone. It is away from the bustle of Freetown. It is just enough off the beaten path to feel like you are out to experience something, without really having to go off the beaten path. It's quite, not much nightlife to say, although the guesthouse does serve some drinks. There are few tourists (not that Sierra Leone is swarming with tourists anywhere). All the meals are caught and made fresh to order (as in you want a certain kind of fish and they go out and catch it to fix for dinner). There is some good hiking, pretty easy but you will feel like you got a work out, with amazing views.

Everybody knows how to get there and there are two main routes - both kind of circuitous. One is longer on better roads, the other shorter on very bumpy roads. We took both and each has its benefits.
