There are several walking trails leading from the main entrance. One of them would lead you to a large pond which usually have a few (sometimes unfriendly) swans. Visitors with children can go there to feed tiny fish. Further ahead, you would pass through giant trees and reach, first Ginger Garden, then Orchid Garden, followed by a sloped grass area with some unusual trees from Africa and a Shaw Fountain Symphony Stage beside the Symphony Lake where performances are held on some days. There are restaurants situated within the Singapore Botanic Gardens that provide delicious food and water to visitors in a lush and romantic atmosphere. There is a dog friendly café that provides recreational activities for the family. Have kids? Afraid they will get bored? There is a garden built specially for the children! The Jacob Ballas Children Garden is built to cultivate a fun and lively interest in young children. It teaches children more about the nature and the importance of plants. It is a fun and interactive learning process for both you and your children! Finally you will reach the Park headquarters, around which are planted a variety of trees. Other trails in the Gardens have trails which lead to a mini jungle. The trees and plants are well labeled, sometimes with more detailed information provided. It is an excellent place for visitors to have some peace in a very busy city. Payment Accepted:

Aug 17, 2008 Botanic Garden, is an oasis here in cosmopolitan Singapore. No entrance fee to enter the beautiful park, but if you are interested about orchids, for little amount, you can explore the famed Orchidarium. Late afternoon on weekends is best time to walk around the park, you would see families having picnic by the park..and engaged couples with their stylist and camera man doing photo shoots. Jan 26, 2010 Singapore is hot and busy. The only place you can enjoy some quiet time and not melt is the Botanic Gardens. Sitting on the grass watching children playing frisbee with their dog is so relaxing. It's a pretty big place, so the walking back to the main gate was not so enjoyable. Go there for a picnic, for a jog, for a walk. Perfect place for families! Sep 11, 2008 Within the city of Singapore, the Botanic garden is real quiet and paradisiac place. If you like the orchids, you'll be glad to discover their wonderful orchid garden with the possibility to buy some souvenirs of which some orchids roots are available. May 7, 2010 Visited the Orchid gardens and was astonished how many species they have overthere. Very good guide who explained everything about the orchids. Related Links
