Oct 26, 2008 If all you see when you're visiting Singapore are gleaming shopping malls selling standard Western, usually upmarket, brands, then you've clearly not set foot in Mustafa's. By far the most interesting and somewhat entertaining shopping centre located in what is known as the Little India district. Not surpringly, this is the number one tourist spot for travellers from the Sub-Indian Continent. Mustafa's sells everything imaginable from dried spices to novelty telephones from the 1920s and of course clothes. Lots of clothes, and if you venture up to the top floor, quite funky ones at that. Everything is either dirt cheap or at least reasonably priced so do not expect excellent quality. If you want to experience true hustle and bustle, visit this 24 hour department store on a Saturday. If you find your local supermarket on a Saturday already too overwhelming, don't even bother with Mustafa's, you'll get a heart attack (weekdays are alright though). A shopping experience like no other. Related Links
