One of the best zoo in Asia, Singapore Zoo takes visitors on a wildlife experience of seeing more than 2 thousand different animals of approximately 300 types of species. The Zoo also houses many endangered species such as the white tiger, white rhino, golden lion tamarins, bawean hog deer, cheetah and many more.

Singapore Zoo is unique in its 'free and open' jungle experience concept. The animals are kept in spacious landscaped enclosure, separated from the visitors by wet or dry moats instead of cages. It provides visitors a feel of close encounter with wild animals.

For tree climbing cats such as the leopards or jaguars, they have to be kept in enclosure with beautifully landscaped environment separated by full-length glass for visitors watching pleasure.

Singapore Zoo offers various animal shows to keep the visitors entertained and most importantly, to encourage visitors to play a critical role in wildlife conservation.

Special Features of The Singapore Zoo

1. Free-ranging Orang Utans - first in the world;
2. Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife Programme;
3. Horse carriage and Elephant rides around the zoo;
4. Entertainment - Splash Safari show, Animal Friends show and Elephants at Work and Play show

Shelters are available around the zoo just in case the weather changes and Toilet can be found in most of these shelters

Singapore Zoo is fantastic, you can see white tigers, watch the elephants have a bath and see a Polar Bear diving for fish. The best experience I had was touching a snake at breakfast and eating breakfast with an Orangutan. A must see.

Great experience not just for tourists but also for the locals. There also numerous animal performances that are quite delightful to watch. Not only that, interaction between certain animals at certain times are allowed such as snakes during breakfast.

This is an amazing zoo, where you almost feel not being a visitor, but an animal yourself. The cages are far from visible..you are in the jungle....or arent you?
One of the best, if not THE best Zoo's I have visited.
