This is one of the ethnic neighborhoods of Singapore.  There are Middle Eastern restaurants, silk tailors, sellers of Oriental rugs.  Singapore's largest mosque is in this neighborhood.

Arab Street is a must visit for Singapore.  Tear yourself away from Orchard Street and head over.  They have wonderful shops and beautiful mosques.  The people are very friendly and helpful.  You will find unique things here in the shops.  This is refreshing after seeing the same things over and over again in the rest of Singapore.

Bustling, Cafe Cairo has great food, coffee and tea, nice materials and base perfume scents
