The best Southern Indian eatery is supposedly on Dempsey Road. It's also part of a quiet residential area that is starting to be invaded by expensive restaurants, specialty shops and the Singapore Biennale. Wander to the end of the road to find a couple of antique stores. The uniqueness of this place lies in it being a cosy, tree-lined neighbourhood in a city with lots of high-density estates.
