Bus services coming to the Gardens are:
SBS No. 7, 105, 123, 174 and TIBS No. 75, 77 and 106 along Holland Road; and
SBS No. 66, 151, 153, 154, 156, 170, 186 and TIBS No. 67, 171 along Bukit Timah Road.
Does not cost much to get a cab to go there.

Wide collection of orchids, a must see for all visitors. Over 1000 species and 2,000 hybrids are now found in the Gardens' collection, with about 600 species and hybrids on display. Every year, more vibrant and enduring hybrids are added on. So that all may admire and enjoy their diversity, richness and beauty, the National Orchid Garden now offers a permanent showcase, the largest display of tropical orchids in the world.
Opening hours
8.30am - 7.00pm daily (last ticket sales at 6.00pm)

An absolutely beautiful and extensive garden. Also loved very much by the locals, you will likely encounter several wedding picture sessions going on.
The flowers and plants are incredible, so many I have never seen before, the most beautiful and rare orchids. Who knew that there are so many types... There is even one named after Lady Di. The Tiger Orchid is georgeos. Beware of the carnivorous plants ;)

some might think it is a tourist trap, it is, but a good one. not a particular orchid fan here but some corner of the garden will take your breath away...
