I'd heard such a lot about the Night Safari that I was highly excited when I landed there. A short wait in the queue where I gobbled down a couple of Ben Jerry's ice-cream yumm, as soon as the clock struck seven we were instructed to board the tram. At first it was a lil scary, the very thought of travelling in the dark but as we drove down further the view was beautiful, the Singapore Night Safari as it's one of the few places in the world where you can see the animals in their element at night. I was literally an arms distance from these animals, I squirmed back into my seat as soon as I heard the lion roar..whoa! After the tram ride there's enough time to walk around the zoo for a bit and to explore it on your own. You need to prioritise, or not walk too slowly though or you won't get a chance to see the whole place . After the ride which lasts around an hour or so I stopped by to see a 'tribal dance' - there were daggers, fire, men with painted bodies :-) It was a unique experience a must watch for everyone who visits Singapore.

I love this place! As of 2008 I havent' yet been to the actual zoo during the day (which is also supposed to be pretty great) but I've been to the Night Safari five times! The first time was in 1995 on a vacation. When I lived in Singapore I went first with my new roommate, her mom, and a friend, then the next time with a friend visiting from the U.S. My fourth time was on a return trip to the country with a friend. The fifth time I took my sister and her husband. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

An amazing experience. The Singapore Night Safari is amazing. It is interesting to know that the night animals are illuminated by artificial light that replicate the moonlight. They are beautiful.
You must not miss it if you Travel to Singapore .
