Oct 28, 2008 Bratlislava is one of the coolest European towns I have been to. It is still rather small compared to other cities in Europe and there aren't hoards of tourists. Bratislava seems to have shadows of old communist Eastern Europe left over, which adds to its charm. I highly recommend finding all the "hidden" statues in Old Town...there are five (although I could only find four...the last one, called the Taunter [ironically] was no where to be found!) Nov 13, 2009 Gorgeous city! And the Old Town is a real pearl :) in the night is adorable :) with the fantasticly illuminated fountain on the Main Square. As for me, Bratislava has an unique atmosphere and it doesn't look like a capital, it's small, there are no many tourists and what's the most important: you can rest there for real (you're not tired of THE city :]) Oct 14, 2008 Beautiful, yet very cheap. Not to miss if you are around (for example in Vienna). You can see most in one day excursion and having spent less than 10 euros (including food)!! BUT, it is a bit dirtier than other cities and some monuments are left without attention for some time... Jan 8, 2010 Nothing special. People doesn't know important things about this city, for example making a movie in this town, where can we find "X" famous place. They really judge tourists negative...
